Clijsters wins twice, advances to semifinal
SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. -- Second-seeded Kim Clijsters of Belgium won two matches and waited out a rain delay Friday to reach the semifinals of the State Farm Women's Classic.
Clijsters defeated Cara Black of Zimbabwe 6-2, 6-3 in the morning -- a match suspended by rain Thursday night. On Friday afternoon, Clijsters defeated American Laura Granville 6-3, 6-3, in a match that included a rain delay of 2 hours, 22 minutes.
