THE OLYMPIAN
The Olympia Film Festival continues its 20th annual run. The festival -- which ends Sunday -- features regional, national and international films as well as workshops and other special events. Unless otherwise noted, the films listed below take place at the Capitol Theater, 206 Fifth Ave. E., Olympia. Single tickets are $7, $5 for Olympia Film Society members and $2 for children 12 and younger.

Today

- 6 p.m.: "Ariel" (1988, Finland).

- 8:30 p.m.: "Cine-X Showcase 2003," a juried selection of short films.

- 10:30 p.m.: "The Hebrew Hammer" (2003, United States).

Thursday

- 6 p.m.: "Golden Oly Shorts," a selection of short films.

- 6 p.m.: "Films of Scott Stark: Program One, Visual Aerobics and Cultural Excavations," a selection of short films presented by the filmmaker. The Mark, 409 Columbia St. S.W. $5 general, $4 OFS members.

- 8 p.m.: "Cataracts, Volcanoes and Monumental Collapse: The Films of Jon Behrens," a selection of short films presented by the filmmaker. The Mark. $5 general, $4 OFS members.

- 8:30 p.m.: "Point Break Live," a live reinterpretation of the 1991 extreme sports movie.

- 11 p.m.: "Total Balalaika Show" (1993, Finland).
