Morris had a goal and three assists, and Joe Sakic also scored in the third period as the Avalanche beat San Jose for the seventh straight time. Milan Hejduk scored his 11th goal of the season, to keep Colorado unbeaten in five games.

The win was the second straight at home for the Bruins, who had no victories in their first four home games.
