Parents/guardians: Jerry Strand and Margaret Holmes-Strand

Achievements in category: Participated in theater since the age of 8 and has put on more than 14 shows; studied dance in New York City at Broadway Dance Center; studied voice in Seattle for 11 years; memorable roles include Rizzo in "Grease," the High Priest in "Jesus Christ Superstar," Corrine in "Triumph of Love," the witch in "Into the Woods" and upcoming role of Nancy in "Oliver."

Other achievements: Cheerleading; soccer; swimming; three-year letterman and captain of swim team; state swimming and student teaching fourth grade at Pioneer Elementary.

Future plans: Attend college in North Carolina for freshman year, and study abroad in Spain for sophomore year.
