-Class highlights: Seniors at Tenino High School enroll in a Contemporary World Problems class that focuses on their world and their government in their time and place in history. This project includes a community service aspect, a research paper, soliciting the guidance of a mentor in the field, and a performance assessment where the students present their project in its entirety to an audience. Several hundred hours of community service are incorporated. Marya Danzer designed a stained glass window, which depicts scenes of Tenino's early history, for Tenino City Hall. Adam Seaunier arranged and performed at a benefit concert, with proceeds going to the Tenino Food Bank. Other projects included horticulture projects, tutoring autistic children, stream restoration, floral design, salmon hatcheries, welding, firefighting, organization of blood drives, investing, nutrition and work with volunteer organizations.

-Class motto: "To the world, you may be just one person ... but to one person, you may be the world."
