Help for widows

There are an estimated 136,000 surviving World War II veterans in Washington.

But many widows of World War II veterans don't know that they may qualify for a pension or other benefits, said Colleen Gilbert, state Department of Veterans Affairs public information officer.

Widows with questions about potential benefits can call 800-562-2308.
