Joy
Do you want a pet that will fill you with joy? My name is Joy. I am 7 months old, and my tag number is 197. I am a black Lab, and I was brought to the animal shelter on Feb. 6. Wilderness Drive is where I was found.
My whole body, including my ears, sleek fur, tail and big paws, is covered with black like the night sky, or charcoal. My eyes are as brown as creamy chocolate pudding.
I jumped for joy when I got out of my cage to play with my visitors. I am always happy to see people or kids.
Please, I am a lovable dog who would like to be home with a caring, dependable family. Come to the animal shelter, look for tag No. 197, and adopt me. Your home will fill with joy when you adopt me!
Pet of the week is written by fourth-grade students from Janet Schloz's class at Tumwater Hill Elementary School. The students visit the Thurston County Animal Shelter at 3120 Martin Way in Olympia, 360-352-2510, each week.
