Pet of the Week

Originally published Monday, March 18, 2002

Early Easter pup

Are you looking for a perfect dog? I am a German shepherd wearing tag No. 124, female, and 2 years old. Feb. 20 was when I was brought to the shelter from Wal-Mart in Shelton. Perhaps I am the perfect dog for you.

I am a beautiful girl. My eyes are milk chocolate, my ears are floppy, my fur is soft like string, my tail and body are dusted black with red underneath.

I have a playful personality. When I was in my cage I was calm, but when I was taken out I was as playful as a kitten and as bouncy as the Easter Bunny.

I am a dog in need of love, attention and a fenced yard. I want to be in a colorful home by Easter. If you are looking for a German shepherd, female, wearing tag No. 124, keep me on your list.

Pet of the week is written by fourth-grade students from Janet Schloz's class at Tumwater Hill Elementary School. The students visit the Thurston County Animal Shelter at 3120 Martin Way in Olympia, 360-352-2510, each week.
