Pet of the Week

Originally published Monday, April 8, 2002

Who's afraid of me?

Are you looking for a cool cat? Then Cairo is the cat for you. I was brought to the animal shelter on March 21. My tag number is 532.

I was found at Kelly Beach Road. I am a domestic, long-haired, male cat. My round body is golden brown and white. My ears are golden and pointy. They look like a bobcat's ears and have white whiskers. My bushy tail swings gently when petted softly.

I need to get used to people. My personality is shy and curious. I examined my playroom by pawing the scratching post, sniffing the birdhouse and leaping into the cubby. I grew friendlier when I was petted.

Please, I want a comfy home. I just want to have a family that loves cats. Remember, my tag number is 532 and I am a male. I need a family now!
