Progressive Animal Welfare Society (PAWS): Animal advocacy group based in Washington. Runs a large adoption shelter and two wildlife rehabilitation centers.
Wolf Haven: Tenino-based wolf restoration and preservation group. Open to the public.
Wild Animal Rescue Mission (WARM): Wildlife rehabilitation and education center serving injured and orphaned wildlife in Washington.
National Marine Fisheries Service: In charge or preserving and protecting marine critters, including salmon.
American Humane Society: Mainstream animal welfare organization. Provides shelter programs and works to prevents cruelty and abuse to animals.
National Animal Poison Control Center: Offers 24-hour hotline for poisoning emergencies. Advice on how to prevent poisonings.
