RIGHT NOW

The contractor is continuing to build the work trestle, work on final demolition on the trestle portion of the bridge and prepare a barge for the demolition work of the arch portion of bridge.

WHAT'S NEXT

Construction will continue on the temporary work trestle and preparation of a barge for the arch demolition.

LONG TERM

Crews will remove sidewalks and the deck from the arch portion of the bridge and begin to remove gravel from inside the arches. They'll start intersection improvements at Fourth Avenue and at Perry Street and Harrison Avenue.
