BRIDGE UPDATE

Crews begin installing a storm line today along Harrison Avenue west of West Bay Drive. The work will limit downhill traffic to one lane. Two lanes of uphill traffic will remain open.

Crews will work until 10 p.m. today, taking advantage of low tides to remove a bridge abutment. The project will involve jackhammer work.

Work continues on a work trestle and utility lines on West Fourth Avenue between Olympic Way and West Bay Drive.

DETOUR PLANNED

On Friday, crews will begin paving Fourth Avenue West and the intersection of Harrison Avenue and West Bay Drive.

A detour is scheduled Feb. 5 to allow crews to restripe Harrison Avenue and remove the traffic signal. If it rains, the restriping and detour will be rescheduled to the next dry day.
