BRIDGE UPDATE

TODAY

Construction crews will drive in piling for Pier 8 of the new bridge, pull test verification anchors for a tieback wall and remove the former bridge's Pier 2.

Workers will continue to install a sewer line on Fifth Avenue, between Sylvester and Water streets.

LONG-TERM

Workers will continue to install a sidewalk adjacent to Heritage Park. Traffic will be restricted to two lanes on Fifth Avenue, between Sylvester and Water streets.

Expect delays on Fifth Avenue. Workers will also form and install rebar and pour footing for Pier 8 and drive coffer dams during low tide for piers 3 and 4.
