Bridge Update

TODAY

Construction crews will continue to remove the former Fourth Avenue bridge's second pier and finish pile-driving work on Pier 8.

LONG TERM

Workers will continue to form and tie rebar for Pier 8. The contractor is scheduled to pour concrete on the first section of the new bridge April 9. Crews will build drilling platforms for piers 5 and 6 and begin work on the water system on Fifth Avenue.
