Razor Clam Season Runs for Six Days
Originally published Friday, April 12, 2002
A six-day razor clam dig starts today, the Washington Department of Fish and Wildlife reports.
This may be the last dig this season for most Washington beaches, which will be open for digging on morning tides only through noon Wednesday.
Diggers must have a 2002 shellfish or two-day license. Licenses are available at most sporting goods stores and other dealers around the state.
Diggers must keep the first 15 clams taken, regardless of size or condition. Each digger's limit must be kept in a separate container. Digging is permitted during morning hours until noon at Long Beach, Twin Harbors, Copalis, Mocrock and Kalaloch beaches.
