Last Supper Re-enactment

A Bible verse is posted over the doorway to River Ridge Covenant Church, where members performed "The Last Supper: A Living Dramatization" on Maundy Thursday. The performance was based on the well-known religious painting by Leonardo Da Vinci. It is the fourth year the church has put on the program during Holy Week, said Pastor Jon Parreno. Bread and wine symbolize Jesus' offer for the world as he made the sacrifice of his body and blood, said Parreno.

Holy Week Services

Lacey

- Seven Lacey churches will participate in a Good Friday event, walking the Stations of the Cross on the campus of Saint Martin's College. Participants will meet at 1 p.m. Friday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 812 Bowker St. S.E., Lacey.

The group will pause at each station to read a scripture and pray before returning to the church building. Everyone is welcome. Participating churches include: Christ the Servant Lutheran Church, Lacey Community Church, Lacey Presbyterian Church, Sacred Heart Catholic Church, South Sound Vineyard Christian Fellowship, St. Benedict Episcopal Church, St. Mark Lutheran Church and Saint Martin's Abbey.
